The Parts I Kept

When life changes — when love, people, or seasons shift — there’s an unspoken question that lingers:

What do you keep?

I didn’t lose everything I loved.
I didn’t have to.

I kept the way I love deeply.
I kept the way music moves through me.
I kept my softness, my humor, my strength, my belief in beauty.

I kept the rituals.
The memories.
The friendships that still speak my name.

Some things end.
Some things change shape.

But the best parts don’t disappear.

They become part of who you are.

These are the parts I kept.
